AOIT App Development Challenge designed to support the next
generation of developers and entrepreneurs
BEDFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

(NASDAQ: PRGS) today announced it will host the Second Annual AOIT App
Development Challenge in Morrisville, North Carolina, December 17, 2015.
The AOIT App Development Challenge is an application development
workshop for local high school students in partnership with the Academy
of Information Technology (AOIT), a chapter of the National
Academy Foundation. Developed by Progress, the challenge is designed
to turn the innovative ideas of students into reality using technology,
while exposing them to careers in science, technology, engineering and
math (STEM).
The day-long challenge will be divided into three segments: instruction,
development and judging. Students will use two application development
platforms (the Progress® aPaaS platform and Progress® Rollbase®) and two
programming languages (JavaScript and Node.js) to create and program an
original application. Approximately 40 high school seniors will compete
for prizes and the opportunity to publish their results to the app store.
